Product Related Questions

Where are your products made?

All Chloe Evans Designs products are designed by me in Swansea, UK. I personally print all art prints from my home studio, while other products are crafted in collaboration with UK-based printing partners. My fabric is printed by two companies—one in London and one near Stoke-on-Trent—before being handcrafted into lampshades and cushions. Enamel mugs are printed by a specialist company in Stoke-on-Trent.

Are your products sustainable and eco-friendly?

Yes! Most products are made to order, reducing waste and excess stock. I use eco-conscious packaging, including recyclable, biodegradable, or reused materials. I also repurpose packaging materials like boxes and bubble wrap to protect delicate items such as lampshades while minimizing waste.

How long do lampshades and cushions take to ship?

Lampshades, cushions, and upholstery fabric orders can take
between 1-6 weeks to be dispatched. This is due to the lead times at my
printers and varies throughout the year during busy periods. I will always contact
you before I place the order with the printers to confirm a more accurate timeframe
and allow us time to discuss the process before the order is processed. If you would
like to know what the current lead time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch is
before your place your order, by emailing me at chloeevansdesign@hotmail.com

How long do custom illustrations take?

Custom illustrations can take between 1-3 weeks from the
initial discussion to the print being printed and posted. The exact lead time
will largely depend on what you have in mind for your custom illustration and the
projects I am working on at the time. To confirm the current lead time, please
don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing me at chloeevansdesign@hotmail.com.
Please include a description of what you have in mind, any inspiration photos
you would like me to work from, and if there is a specific date you have in
mind for me to work to.

How do I care for my art prints?

All Chloe Evans Designs art prints are printed on archival cotton paper, using the highest quality inks that I can possibly use in my home studio. It is recommended that you do not hang your prints in direct sunlight as this will increase the chances of your print fading or discolouring over time.

The paper I use has a beautiful texture, but it does ‘dent’ easily so do take care when you unpackage, frame and store your prints to prevent any potential damage. If you are storing your prints before framing them, ensuring they are stored flat, ideally in a boarded envelope or sandwiched between two hard surfaces to reduce the risk of your print being damaged.

It is important to note that A3+ prints are rolled in a tube for postage to help reduce
shipping costs and reduce the changes of it being bent or damage during shipping. I would suggest laying your print for a day or two before framing.

What size frame do I need for my art print?

There are two main print sizes are Chloe Evans Designs: A4 and A3+. All prints include a small 5mm border around the outside of the print.
Before purchasing a frame for your print, it is important to consider if you would like it to be mounted or not, as this will affect what size frame you order.

For A4 prints, I would recommend a frame aperture of 21x30cm or 8x12 inches which is a common frame size available from most high street stores.

A3+ is a slightly more obscure framing size (33cmx48.3cm_, so the most common aperture sizes on the high street which I would suit are a frame with an A3 or 30x40cm (12x16inches) mount. If you don’t want a mount for your A3+ print, I would recommend getting in professionally mounted or you could trim down to fit the above sizes.

How do I care for my lampshade?

To care for your handmade cotton lampshade, regularly dust it with a soft, dry cloth or a lint roller. If needed, hand wash gently with a mild detergent and soft cloth, and allow it to air-dry fully before reattaching it to a lamp or ceiling light. Avoid harsh chemicals and direct sunlight.

How do I care for my cushions?

Chloe Evans Designs handmade cotton cushions can be machine washed at 40 degrees Celsius and tumble dried on a low heat, although I would recommend air drying or on a radiator.

How do I care for my enamel camping mug?

To care for your Chloe Evans Design enamel camping mugs, handwash only and dry immediately. Do not use in a microwave or put in a dishwasher, as this could fade the printed design or cause the metal beneath the enamel to rust.
